Bengaluru: Alliance University celebrated the 77th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day on its Bengaluru campus, marking the first official NCC Day celebration by the university. The event was organized in collaboration with the 40 Karnataka Battalion, Army Group ‘B’.
The celebration saw the participation of university leadership, including Pro-Chancellor Abhaya Chebbi and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Priestly Shawn, who commended the cadets for their discipline, commitment, and contribution to national service.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Lt. Dr. Y. Narasimha Raja, Associate NCC Officer, Alliance University.
The event featured a range of ceremonial and cultural activities including a flag hoisting ceremony, parade demonstration, drill competition, cultural performances, and sports activities. The NCC motto — “Unity and Discipline” — was reiterated throughout the programme, while cadets also presented patriotic songs that resonated with the audience.
As part of the NCC Week observance themed “Vande Mataram,” cadets actively participated in several community-focused initiatives such as a blood donation drive, tree plantation campaign, quiz competitions, and webinars.
The university said the activities demonstrated the cadets’ ongoing commitment to nation-building and social responsibility, reflecting the core values of the NCC.
