Arjun Bijlani recalls his ‘Naagin’ days with Mouni Roy & Adaa Khan

Mumbai, March 10 (IANS) Rashmika Mandanna is currently shooting for the highly-anticipated film, “Thama”, alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The ‘Animal’ actress took to her official IG and dropped a sneak peek into the night schedule of the flick.

Rashmika shared two photos in the stories section of her Instagram. In one of the snaps, she was seen sleeping in the car.

“Hmmmm…night shoots..how much I love night shoots..clearly ! @aditya_a_sarpatdar sir knows very well. #Thama.”, the diva captioned the pic.

In another still, Rashmika was seen in her vanity holding a travel cup that read, “Thama night shoot”.

On a different note, protagonist Ayushmann revealed that the shoot for “Thama” came to a momentary halt to celebrate India’s win at the Champions trophy.

Ayushmann took to his Instagram and posted a video of him and his crew members watching the India Vs New Zealand match on a phone.

After India won the finals, the actor and his “Thama” crew started to cheer and clap. However, the team slowly proceeded towards the shoot location.

“Shoot ruk jaati hai jab India jeet jaata hai! #championstrophy2025 #winners #worldchampions #Thama (The shoot comes to a halt when India wins!),” Ayushmann captioned the post.

Touted to be a ‘bloody love story’, “Thama” is a part of Maddock’s blockbuster horror comedy universe. The film promises to be a gripping love story, set against a bloody backdrop.

With Ayushmann and Rashmika as the lead pair, the project also features Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles.

“Thama” has been made under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar of ‘Munjya’ fame. The story of the drama has been written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara.

The film talks about a relentless historian who delves into ancient texts, unraveling chilling truths about local vampire legends, as supernatural forces awaken. This quest not only unearths history but also ignites a battle for the town’s very soul.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, “Thama” is expected to be released by October 2025.

Mumbai, Nov 7 (IANS) Actor Raghav Juyal has heaped praise on actress Shehnaaz Gill, calling her a “legend, powerhouse and rule breaker” who is “killing it like a queen in a male-dominated industry.”

Raghav, who starred alongside Shehnaaz in “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Jaan”, took to his Instagram stories section and posted a news about her maiden production “Ikk Kudi” that read “Ikk Kudi Box Office Collection Day 6: Enjoys 200% Jump Than The Opening Day, Shehnaaz Gill’s Film Turns The Tables!”

For the caption, Raghav, who has been rumoured to be dating Shehnaaz, wrote: “This girl is killing it like a queen in a male dominated industry, hats off to you shehnaaz u are a legend, a powerhouse and a rule breaker @shehnaazgill.”

“Ikk Kudi” follows a woman from a family of broken hearts who starts doubting her arranged marriage match and embarks on a quest to uncover her fiance’s mysterious past.

Shehnaaz gained stardom after her stint in “Bigg Boss 13”. It was in 2015, when Shehnaaz began her modelling career with a music video titled ‘Shiv Di Kitaab’. In 2017, she marked her debut in Punjabi film ‘Sat Shri Akaal England’.

The actress’ filmography also includes names such as ‘Kala Shah Kala’, ‘Daaka’, ‘Honsla Rakh’, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, and ‘Thank You for Coming’ to her credit.

Mumbai, March 7 (IANS) Actress Sandeepa Dhar decided to reflect on the biases faced by a woman in our society this Women’s Day. During an exclusive interaction with IANS, she shed light on how women are put to trial for simply having ambitions.

Sandeepa shared, “Your ambition isn’t ‘too much’ – society’s imagination is too small.” Last week, a reporter asked me how I “balance work and personal life.” I smiled and asked, “Do you pose this question to male actors?” His uncomfortable “no” said everything. I find it ridiculous that men, who studies show are typically worse at multitasking, never have to explain how they manage different parts of their lives. Women, meanwhile, are put on trial for daring to have ambition and a life. These small moments of inequality are exactly why the journey of playing Malika resonated so deeply with me.”

She further disclosed what Women’s Day means to her, “On Women’s Day, I celebrate every woman who’s been called “difficult” for having standards, “bossy” for showing leadership, or “dramatic” for expressing needs. Malika taught me that our complexity isn’t a flaw – it’s our superpower. We aren’t “too emotional” when we demand respect, nor “too ambitious” when we refuse to shrink. So wear your contradictions proudly. The world that mocks your dreams today will thank you tomorrow for expanding its possibilities”, Sandeepa shared.

Sandeepa shared that according to her, feminism isn’t about diminishing anyone, but helping both women and men rise.

“And to those who ask “but what about men?” when women speak up – feminism isn’t about diminishing anyone. It’s about dismantling the same systems that pressure men to hide vulnerability while punishing women for showing strength. Feminism lifts men from patriarchy too – when women rise, we all do,” she added.

Talking about her work, Sandeepa was recently a part of Akshay Choubey’s show “Pyar Ka Professor”.
