Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ to Navigate Gujarat’s Tribal Heartland

Gandhinagar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ambitious ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is poised to venture through the tribal enclaves of Gujarat, marking a significant leg of its journey as it enters the state on March 7.

Commencing its Gujarat leg from Jhalod in Dahod district, the Yatra is strategically tailored to traverse the eastern tribal belt of the state, reflecting a concerted effort to engage with the indigenous communities.

Although momentarily paused due to Rahul Gandhi’s prior commitments in Europe, the Yatra is slated to resume its momentum upon entering Gujarat on March 7.

Covering an extensive distance of 467 km within Gujarat, the Yatra will span seven districts, including Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Tapi, Surat, and Navsari, before crossing into Maharashtra by the evening of March 10. Notably, it will touch upon 14 out of Gujarat’s 26 Lok Sabha constituencies.

This carefully charted route underscores the Congress party’s deliberate emphasis on tribal-dominated regions in Gujarat’s eastern corridor, bypassing urban and political focal points like the Ahmedabad region, North Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch.
