Bankipur bypolls: Abhishek Kumar Sinha meets Nitish Kumar, NDA signals united front

Patna, July 8 (IANS) Amid heightened political activity ahead of the Bankipur Assembly by-election, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Abhishek Kumar Sinha paid a courtesy visit to former Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) National President Nitish Kumar, in a meeting widely viewed as a strong display of NDA unity and coordination.

Several senior leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were present during the meeting, underscoring the alliance’s collective focus on the upcoming electoral contest.

Sinha was accompanied by BJP Bihar President Sanjay Saraogi, JD-U National Working President and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha and other leaders. The leaders held discussions on election strategy, coordination among alliance partners, and preparations to ensure the NDA’s success in the Bankipur by-election.

During the meeting, Kumar congratulated Sinha on being nominated as the NDA candidate and conveyed his best wishes for the election. According to those present, the former chief minister encouraged the young candidate and expressed confidence that NDA workers were campaigning with full enthusiasm in the constituency.

He also wished Sinha success in both the by-election and his future political journey.
