Bengaluru: NAAC A+ accredited Alliance University will hold its 14th convocation on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at its central campus in Bengaluru. The event will celebrate the academic achievements of students who have successfully completed their programmes.
A total of 1,962 degrees and diplomas will be awarded across disciplines including business management, law, engineering and liberal arts. The graduating cohort comprises 960 undergraduate students, 887 postgraduates, 10 PhD scholars, 20 diploma students in performing arts and 85 executive postgraduate diploma students from the management stream, reflecting the university’s multidisciplinary academic ecosystem.
The convocation will begin with the academic procession, followed by the chancellor’s formal declaration. The programme will include presentation of the annual report, conferment of degrees and diplomas, award of doctoral degrees and medals, and addresses by the chief guest and other distinguished guests.
Justice Ananya Banerjee of the Calcutta High Court will attend the ceremony as the chief guest. Known for her commitment to judicial integrity, constitutional scholarship and gender equality, Justice Banerjee is expected to underline the values of ethics, discipline and public responsibility in her address.
Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, professor of technology at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and professor-in-charge of IIMB’s new campus, will also be present. A former director of IIM Indore and IIM Bangalore, he is widely recognised for his contributions to innovation, strategy and institution building.
Dr Veerappan V, president of SEMI India and ELCITA and co-founder and chairman of Tessolve Semiconductor, will be another distinguished participant. With over three decades of experience in the electronics and semiconductor sector, he has played a key role in strengthening India’s technology ecosystem and positioning Bengaluru as a major innovation hub.
Alliance University said the convocation marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of its students and underscores its continued focus on academic excellence, research, innovation and industry collaboration.
