Delhi as Minimum Temperature Drops to 4.3°C; Flight and Train Operations Disrupted Due to Fog

New Delhi: Delhiites experienced a chilly morning with moderate fog as the minimum temperature dropped to 4.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below the seasonal average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the IMD’s forecast, Saturday’s maximum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius, accompanied by a “mainly clear sky.”

Foggy conditions disrupted flight and train operations as visibility at Palam reduced to 350 meters at 5:30 a.m., as per the IMD.

The air quality in various parts of the city continued to linger in the ‘very poor’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). In Jahangirpuri at 9 a.m., PM2.5 levels were recorded at 429 (severe category), and PM10 reached 417.
