Fresh Round of Talks Scheduled Between Government and Protesting Farm Leaders

New Delhi: Amid ongoing tensions over agricultural reforms, the government has announced a new round of discussions with protesting farm leaders, set to occur on Sunday. Anurag Singh Thakur, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, emphasized the significant efforts made by the Narendra Modi government in supporting farmers, citing advancements in fertilizers, water management, Minimum Support Price (MSP), bank loans, and compensation over the past decade.

Addressing the media in Delhi on Friday, Thakur highlighted the government’s invitation to farmers’ organizations for dialogue, noting the constructive discussions that ensued. He confirmed the scheduling of the next round of talks for Sunday and expressed optimism regarding the potential for productive conversations, aiming to address and resolve the underlying issues.
