Aden: A recent Houthi assault involving drone strikes and a ground offensive in Yemen’s southern Al-Dhalea province has resulted in the tragic loss of at least four pro-government soldiers, according to a military official.
Speaking anonymously, the official disclosed that the Houthis initiated the attack by deploying drones to target sites controlled by pro-government forces in the northern fronts of Al-Dhalea province. The drone strikes claimed the lives of four soldiers.
Subsequently, in a ground offensive against pro-government positions, the Houthis inflicted injuries upon six soldiers, as reported by the official and quoted in a news agency report.
Despite suffering casualties from the initial drone attack, the pro-government troops valiantly repelled the subsequent Houthi ground assault through intense clashes. Their steadfast defense compelled the rebel fighters to retreat from the area, as confirmed by the military source.
