Tel Aviv: The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) has accused Israeli protesters of obstructing humanitarian aid trucks from entering Gaza through the Karem Shalom border crossing.
According to the UNOCHA, this blockade is preventing critical supplies such as flour, food, tents, and hygiene items from reaching the war-torn territory.
In a statement on Friday, the UNOCHA expressed deep concern, stating, “The inability to deliver food, water, and medical aid will worsen the already dire humanitarian situation of those in need of assistance.”
The UNOCHA also reported a significant reduction in aid trucks reaching the Gaza Strip through the Karem Shalom border crossing since the second week of January.
