Karnataka’s CM Siddaramaiah-Led Committee Greenlights Projects Worth Rs 17,835 Crore

Bengaluru: The 63rd State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC), under the leadership of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has given its approval to six new projects and eight additional investment proposals amounting to Rs 17,835.9 crore. These initiatives have the potential to generate approximately 27,000 job opportunities across the state, as per official sources.

During the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s official residence “Krishna,” the SHLCC sanctioned six new projects valued at Rs 8,220.05 crore, along with eight supplementary investment ventures worth Rs 9,615.85 crore, Siddaramaiah confirmed.

Among the notable approvals, Wistron’s proposal to invest Rs 2,095 crore, potentially creating job opportunities for around 21,723 individuals, received significant attention.

Other key proposals that secured the government’s nod include investments from Air India Limited (Rs 1,750 crore), STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited (Rs 1,352.3 crore), Indian Cane Power Limited (Rs 1,078 crore), and ICT Service Management Solutions (India) Private Limited (Rs 1,450 crore).

The districts of Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, Bellary, and Belagavi in North Karnataka are expected to witness new and additional investments totaling Rs 10,433.72 crore, fostering economic growth and development in the region.

Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, M.B. Patil, along with IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge, were also present during the meeting, underscoring the government’s commitment to promoting investment and job creation in Karnataka.
