Naagin 7 fame Eisha Singh: Not very superstitious but ‘Nazar’ is a real thing

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) Actress Eisha Singh, who is all set to appear in Naagin 7, has revealed her belief in superstitions and spoken about why she feels ‘Nazar (evil eye)’ exists.

Talking to IANS, the actress opened up on being practical and stated that she is more into spirituality.

Eisha told IANS, “I do believe in superstitions, but I am also very spiritual. I believe in superstitions, though I don’t believe in the idea that cats bring bad luck.

The actress highlighted that she has pet cats at home, and it is because of them her life is filled with happiness. “In fact, I have four cats at home, and I cross paths with them every day, and my life is going very well. Well, I do believe in ‘Nazar’ though. I feel that Nazar is a real thing!” said Eisha.

The actress further talked about her role in Naagin 7 and elaborated, “My character is very different from the ones I have played before, so I really enjoyed doing it. The way I carried the look, the way I spoke – everything about it was very exciting. I had done a fantasy show earlier, so I did have some experience, but it was fun working with a new cast and new people.”

Eisha, who has been a part of the entertainment industry for a decade now, spoke of how she finds her journey beautiful. “I started my journey ten years ago, and over these ten years, the graph has been very positive. All the characters I have played have been very different, and I see this journey in a very beautiful way.”

Talking about Naagin 7, the show that goes on air on December 27, it is all set to bring a new tale of revenge, rivalry and mass destruction. Actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will be essaying the titular role as Naagin. The show also stars Namik Paul and Karan Kundrra along with Eisha Singh.

Earlier, the filmmaker said that for him, the process of filmmaking starts from within and has little to do with the market.

The director said that the weight of expectation limits his creativity over a period of time.

He told IANS, “No, that’s the last thing I expect from the audience to come. Because, first of all, I don’t even have an audience in my mind when I make a film. Films, I’m making it for myself first. I have to just watch on my edit table, I can sit down and watch my actors perform and move on. Audience comes quite late”.

He further mentioned, “When the promotion starts then you start expecting that because there is a little monetary thing involved. I know there are various kinds of audience, some will like it, some will not like it. So, I’m not expecting too much from them. I don’t think about the opening day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It takes a lot of time”.

Prior to this, the director graced the quiz based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ along with actor Abhishek Bachchan.

Taha Shah Badussha: Opportunity to showcase ‘Paro’ on a global stage means the world to me

Mumbai, May 17 (IANS) Taha Shah Badussha is over-the-moon as his film “Paro” was presented at the Marché du Film at the ongoing Festival de Cannes 2025. The actor said that the opportunity to showcase his work on a global stage means the world to him.

Taha said: “Grateful and humbled to be part of a story that truly matters. It’s an honour to present Paro at the Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes a film that sparks an important conversation and reflects a powerful reality.”

“This opportunity to showcase our work on a global stage means the world to me. Truly thankful for the love, support, and belief that brought us here,” he added.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gajendra Ahire and produced by Trupti Bhoir under the banner of Trupti Bhoir Filmss and Sandesh Sharada International Pvt. Ltd. The film stars Taha in an impactful role.

Trupti said: “Paro is not just India’s story; it’s a global issue. Being recognised at Cannes reaffirmed that Paro is no longer just a film it’s a movement for change, one that crosses borders and brings hidden truths into the light.”

The movie brings to the limelight the plight of Paro brides, also known as Molki brides, who get trapped in the toxic cycle of bride buying and slavery. In the movie, Taha plays the role of Rashid.

Initially a man without any remorse, his character is eventually faced with circumstances that bring about a change in him and move him towards atoning for his ways.

Talking about Taha, he made his debut with Luv Ka The End. He was cast as an antihero, the first of its kind role in the youth genre. He was seen for a second time in the 2013 movie Gippi.

In 2015, he acted in Mahesh Bhatt’s Barkhaa opposite Pakistani actress Sara Loren. In 2016, he appeared in Karan Johar’s Baar Baar Dekho alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, playing the role of Tarun. He was then seen in Ranchi Diaries. Taha made his Hollywood debut with Draupadi Unleashed playing Gautam.

Ektaa Kapoor does ‘abhishek’ of Lord Krishna with son Ravie this Janmashtami

Mumbai, Aug 16 (IANS) Television mogul Ektaa Kapoor did Lord Krishna’s abhishek’ with her son Ravie Kapoor and her nephew Laksshya this Janmashtami.

They were also seen performing the arti and giving jhulla to Krishan on his birthday in the video captioned, “Jai Shree KRISHNA JAI GOVINDAAAAA”.

Ektaa also added the track ‘Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari’ by Jubin Nautiyal in the background.

As Ektaa uploaded the post on her Instagram, the netizens started inquiring about “Naagin 7”, demanding an update.

The audience has been waiting for the teaser of “Naagin 7” for a long time.

There have been a lot of speculations going around regarding the lead cast of the drama. The viewers are excited to know who will play the Naagin this time.

Several names have been doing the rounds, including Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankita Lokhande, Isha Malviya, Avika Gor, and Chahat Pandey; however, nothing has been announced formally till now.

It has been more than 2 years since “Naagin 6” went off air on July 9, 2023.

With Tejasswi Prakash as the lead, the show also featured Simba Nagpal, Urvashi Dholakia, and Mahek Chahal in key roles.
