Nobody in my family has ever been associated with the Pakistani military in any way, says actress Imanvi

Chennai, April 24 (IANS) Actress Imanvi, who plays the female lead in director Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming film, featuring actor Prabhas, has now issued a statement in which she has refuted rumors that claimed that her dad had served in the Pakistan military.

Imanvi, who is scheduled to make her debut in Telugu cinema through the upcoming film which is being tentatively referred to as #PrabhasHanu project, posted a statement on her Instagram timeline.

The actress began the statement by expressing her sincere and heartfelt condolences for the tragic event that took place in Pahalgam.

“My heart goes out to all those who lost their lives and their loved ones. Any loss of innocent life is tragic and weighs heavy on my heart. I strongly condemn the violent acts. As someone whose mission has always been to spread light and love through art, I hope to see a day soon where we can all come together as one,” she said before going on to refute rumors being spread about her identity and her family.

“I also want to address rumors and lies that have been falsely spread about my identity and my family via fake news sources and online media in order to create division and spread hate. Firstly, nobody in my family has ever been or is currently associated with the Pakistani military in any way. This and multiple other falsehoods have been fabricated by online trolls for the sole purpose of spreading hate,” the actress said and expressed disappointment that even legitimate news outlets, journalists, and those on social media had failed to investigate these claims and had instead simply repeated these slanderous statements.

Imanvi said, “I am a proud Indian American who speaks Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, and English. I was born in Los Angeles, California after my parents legally immigrated to the United States as youth. Soon after they became American citizens. Upon completing my university education in the USA, I pursued a career in the arts as an actor, choreographer, and dancer.”

Stating that she was incredibly grateful to receive opportunities to work in the Indian film industry, the actress said, “This same film industry has been a great influence in my life, and I hope to add to the incredible legacy of the trailblazers that came before me. As someone who has Indian identity and culture running deep in my blood, I hope to use this medium as a form of unity and not divisiveness.”

The actress concluded the statement saying, “As we mourn tragic loss of life, let’s continue to spread love and uplift one another. Throughout history, art has been a medium that creates awareness, empathy, and connection across cultures, people, and experiences. I will work hard to ensure that this legacy carries on through my work and uplifts the experiences of my Indian heritage. Lots of love, Imanvi.”

Mumbai, March 7 (IANS) Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, who recently produced the Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Maidaan’, has been handed over the land possession documents for the NOIDA film city.

On Friday, the producer took to his Instagram, and shared several pictures from his visit to NOIDA. He also penned a long note in the caption, as he detailed the structural plan of the film city.

He wrote in the caption, “CEO shri Arunvir Singh ji handed over the possession letter of international film city sector 21 NOIDA to our company M/s. Bayview Bhutani Film City Pvt Ltd. Shri Shailendra Bhatia at the site gave us the physical possession of land and showed us with the map of the entire surrounding with overview of the location and explained the entire development and the progress around the Film City in the presence of the Farmers from whom the authority had procured the entire land besides Film City for development”.

He further mentioned, “The new Airport at Jewar is just about 4-5 kms away from the entire cluster for various industries besides the Film City”.

Earlier, this week, Boney fondly reminisced about his late wife, actress Sridevi’s classic airport look. He took to his social media, and showed how Sridevi’s airport appearances were always simple yet on point.

Taking to the Stories section of his Instagram, he shared a candid throwback photo of his late wife. He wrote on the picture, “Airport look in 2015”. In the image, Sridevi could be seen wearing a simple grey top paired with blue jeans and a stole. The late actress is also seen holding two bags in the photo.

Through his post, Boney Kapoor reflected on how airport fashion has changed over the years. He seems to point out how actresses today always make sure to look their best when they step out, paying attention to every detail in their outfits.

Trailer of ‘Party Till I Die’ offers a glimpse into the dark story of survival

Mumbai, Dec 20 (IANS) The makers of Amazon MX Player’s upcoming thriller “Party Till I Die” have unveiled its trailer on social media.

Created by Rusk Studios, the show stars Avneet Kaur, Vishal Jethwa, Binita Budathoki, Sanya Sagar, Ansh Pandey, Yatin Mehta, Shalaka Apte, and Manav Soneji. The trailer provides a glimpse into the lives of a group of wealthy 19-year-olds on a weekend getaway at an opulent farmhouse for a brand shoot.

What starts as a carefree party quickly spirals into a dark, deadly fight for survival as friendships fracture and tensions escalate. As pressure mounts and alliances break down, the story delves into the depths of human nature under extreme circumstances. The series explores how societal norms collapse when pushed to the brink, with survival becoming the ultimate goal.

Talking about her character Devi, Avneet Kaur shared, “The character of Devi is incredibly complex, and stepping into her shoes was both challenging and rewarding. She is caught in the middle of a deadly race for survival, and it pushed me to explore emotions and instincts I’ve never experienced before.” She added, “The series is a rollercoaster of emotions, and the twists and turns will have the viewers questioning what they would do in a similar situation. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this project, and I believe that the audience will be completely hooked, just like I was when I first read the script.”

Mayank Yadav, CEO of Rusk Studios, added that the show dives into the extremes of human behaviour, exploring how far people will go when survival hangs by a thread.

Actor Balakrishna gifts music director Thaman a brand new Porsche!

Chennai, Feb 15 (IANS) Immensely pleased with the music that actor Thaman has been providing for his recent films, which have all emerged blockbusters, Telugu star Balakrishna has now presented a brand new Porsche car to the ace music director.

Pictures of Balakrishna presenting the Porsche to Thaman have now gone viral on social media.

Thaman, who is currently scoring the music for actor Balakrishna’s upcoming film Akhanda2, has become the actor’s favourite music director ever since he composed music for Balakrishna’s Akhanda 1.

Akhanda went on to emerge a huge blockbuster, completing 100 days in over a 100 centres. In fact, it ran for an impressive 175 days in one particular theatre.

‘Akhanda’, which was made on a budget believed to be the highest ever for a Balakrishna film, did roaring business. The rewards were so impressive that director Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna chose to come together once again for a film. The music for the film was one of its highlights making Balakrishna even remark, “You (Thaman) too are one of the heroes of the film.”

Thaman has been scoring music for every single Balakrishna film after Akhanda. These include Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari and more recently Daaku Maharaaj. All the films have either emerged as superhits or blockbusters.

In fact, so Balakrishna was pleased with Thaman’s songs for all his films, that soon after ‘Daaku Maharaj’, he went to the extent of saying the music director was now considered like family during the course of an interview. “People don’t call him Thaman, they call him as Nandamuri Thaman,” he said during an interview to a media entity.

Thaman is now scoring music for Akhanda 2: Thandavam, which is to hit screens on September 25 this year for Dussehra.

It may be recalled that the unit of the film began shooting for the film at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Apart from Balakrishna and Aadhi, the film will also feature Samyuktha Menon, whom the team had welcomed a few days ago.
