Russia’s military death toll in Ukraine rises to 409,820

Kiev: The reported figures regarding Russia’s military casualties and equipment losses in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to February 25, 2024, are staggering. According to media reports, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have claimed the elimination of approximately 409,820 Russian armed personnel during this period, with an additional 810 casualties reported on Saturday alone.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disclosed these statistics on Sunday via a post on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform news agency. Alongside the significant loss of personnel, Ukrainian forces have also purportedly destroyed substantial military assets belonging to the Russian military.

The reported losses include 6,542 Russian tanks (with an increase of 8 on Saturday), 12,441 armored combat vehicles (an increase of 16), 9,981 artillery systems (an increase of 29), 999 multiple launch rocket systems, 684 air defense systems, 340 aircraft, 325 helicopters, 7,681 unmanned aerial vehicles (with an increase of 22), 1,907 cruise missiles (with an increase of 2), 25 warships/cutters, one submarine, 13,011 motor vehicles (with an increase of 23), and 1,578 special equipment units (with an increase of 2).

It is noted that these figures are subject to updates as new data on Russian army losses become available. As reported by Ukrinform news agency, there were a total of 84 combat engagements on the battlefield in Ukraine as of Sunday, highlighting the ongoing intensity of the conflict.
