Mumbai Jan 20 (IANS) Television superstar Hina Khan has taken to her social media account and recollected the time when she had hugged her father and cried in his arms.

The actress shared a carousel post of her life moments straight from the year 2016, where she shared a few unseen special moments of her life a decade ago.

In the picture shared by Hina, you can see her posing for a selfie with her late father. She mentioned that just before clicking the selfie, she had a meltdown session where she cried in the arms of her father.

She also shared many other pictures of her parents from the year 2016. The actress highlighted how as a family they would all travel around the world and create special memories.

In a picture shared by Hina, she along with her then boyfriend and now husband Rocky Jaiswal could be seen on a busy Hong Kong street, capturing a casual travel moment from 2016.

Hina also shared a few special moments from the shoot of her iconic show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

For the uninitiated, Hina Khan debuted in the world of entertainment with her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2009. The actress rose to fame as Akshara and became the most beloved Bahu of Indian Television in no time. After being a part of the show for 8 long years, Hina quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in November 2017.

The actress went onto be a part of reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss season 11.

Hina lost her father in April 2021. The actress has stated how the period was extremely difficult for her and her family. Hina, in June 2025, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal.

Mumbai, Aug 8 (IANS) TV actress Sumbul Touqeer, known for her performance in the show ‘Imlie,’ has opened up about her unique Raksha Bandhan tradition.

She shared how she celebrates the festival by tying rakhi to her sister Sanya. When asked if she ever wished she had a real brother, Sumbul shared, “I never really felt that way. I’ve never had the feeling that I needed a brother. I have a younger sister, Sanya, and I tie Rakhi to them.”

“In a way, I think we all protect each other and always will. It’s not always about one person being the protector—it’s about supporting and standing up for each other as a family,” she added.

The actress also revealed that she ties rakhi to her father. “Every year, I also tie Rakhi to my dad at home. I feel that Raksha Bandhan isn’t just about a brother-sister relationship; for me, my dad also protects me, so I tie Rakhi to him too.”

Speaking about how the festival of Rakhi isn’t just confined to rituals or customs, Sumbul mentioned, “It’s an emotional day. It reminds me to pause and acknowledge the people who are always by my side, whether it’s my father, my cousins, or my sister. Raksha Bandhan for everyone is about emotional safety, unconditional love, and mutual respect. It’s about recognizing that protection doesn’t come from gender—it comes from the bond we share.”

Revealing how she celebrates, Sumbul Touqeer shared that she enjoys keeping the festivities close to home and deeply personal. “We usually celebrate it in a very intimate way, at home with family. I tie Rakhi to my dad and cousins, and my sister ties one to me. It’s about honouring those who stand by us, love us unconditionally, and make us feel safe. We make each other feel special with small gestures, heartfelt conversations, and of course, sweets.”

Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on August 9, is a cherished Hindu festival that celebrates the deep and enduring bond between siblings. On this special day, sisters tie a rakhi—a sacred thread—around their brothers’ wrists as a symbol of love and protection.

Mumbai, Feb 7 (IANS) In his brother-in-law Siddharth Chopra’s pre-wedding celebrations, American popstar Nick Jonas was seen performing the song “Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife)” and his wife Priyanka Chopra grooving to several Bollywood numbers.

Videos from the sangeet ceremony are doing the rounds. A video showcases Priyanka shaking-a-leg on her songs such as “Darling” from her film “7 Khoon Maaf”, “Dil Maange More” and “Dhan Te Nan” to name a few.

A clip showed Nick performing “Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife), which was released almost a year ago. Nick was then joined by his father, Kevin Jonas, who sang popular Jonas Brothers’ song “When You Look Me In The Eyes.”

On the work front, Priyanka has reportedly been roped in as the leading lady in South superstar Mahesh Babu’s next, tentatively titled “SSMB29” by SS Rajamouli.

Her last Bollywood release was Shonali Bose’s 2016 drama, “The Sky Is Pink”, based on the true story of Aisha Chaudhary. Internationally, Priyanka will be seen in “Heads of State,” where she stars alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. “Heads of State” is an action comedy film directed by Ilya Naishuller.

She will also portray a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in “The Bluff”, which is a swashbuckler drama film co-written by Frank E. Flowers and Joe Ballarini, with Flowers also directing.

The film stars Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo.

Set in the Caribbean islands during the 19th century, the film features Priyanka as a former female pirate who must protect her family when her past catches up to her.

Additionally, Priyanka is set to return for the second season of the web series “Citadel.”
