Amaal Mallik on ‘Patang Ki Dor’ track from ‘Inn Galiyon Mein’: This song holds a special place in my heart

Mumbai, Feb 19 (IANS) Avantika Dassani and Vivaan Shah will be seen sharing the screen for the first time in the forthcoming drama, “Inn Galiyon Mein”. Adding to the buzz, the makers recently released the primary track from the drama, “Patang Ki Dor”.

Composed by Amaal Malik, “Patang Ki Dor” features enchanting lyrics penned by Punarvasu. Armaan Malik and Palak Muchhal have lent their melodious voices to the track.

Talking about “Patang Ki Dor”, Amaal Mallik stated, “This song holds a special place in my heart. It’s a celebration melody that speaks about pure, innocent love, sprinkled with dreams & a destiny woven like a kite’s thread in the sky. With its heartfelt melody sung by Armaan Malik and Palak Muchhal and lyrics by Punarvasu, ‘Patang Ki Dor’ represents a love story of two people from a small town that transcends time. I’m thrilled to have composed this soundtrack and can’t wait for everyone to experience its magic.”

Dropping the song on his IG, Amaal Malik wrote, “#PatangKiDor is a melody that speaks about pure, innocent love sprinkled with dreams & a destiny—woven like a kite’s thread in the sky…It takes us through the journey of 2 young hearts, portrayed by the very talented @avantikadassani and the amazing @thesurrealvivaanshah who come from a small town in India. Feel the magic of a ‘first love’ that seems so strong that you can’t break free from it and you want it to be your last love… Wonderfully sung by @armaanmalik & @palakmuchhal3 , penned by the amazing @kya_yaar_punarvasu & composed by yours truly…Thank you @avinashonly sir for this opportunity to break free from the regular & for helping me create a world that I haven’t done before in my music”.

Helmed by Avinash Das, “Inn Galiyon Mein” has been presented by Yadunth Films. Produced by Vinod Yadav and Neeru Yadav, the project has been co-produced by Jannisar Hussain, and Adarsh Saxena.

Aside from Avantika Dassani and Vivaan Shah, the movie also stars Jaaved Jaaferi in a key role, along with others.

“Inn Galiyon Mein” is scheduled to reach the cinema halls on February 28 2025.

Here’s how Kriti Sanon embraces her inner ‘90s kid’ through music

Mumbai, July 9 (IANS) Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon took to social media to give a dose of nostalgia as she embraced her inner ’90s kid’ through music.

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Heropanti’ actress shared a fun glimpse of herself grooving to classic tunes from the era. The monochrome clip features the phrase “90’s baby for life” written across it and shows Kriti Sanon applying makeup while grooving to the classic track “Made in India” by Alisha Chinai. She then asks her team to change the song. In the video, Kriti can be heard saying, “Can you please change the song… Move to some peppy one… I don’t want to hear ‘boom boom.’”

The clip then transitions to the ‘Bhediya’ actress singing “Meri Neend” by A Band of Boys, followed by dancing to the upbeat number “Teri To, Teri Ta, Hamesha Yaad Sataave” from the album Rocky Handsome.

Kriti captioned the video, “Part 3 ke liye aur 90’s ke gaane batao.. playlist update karni hai.” Reacting to her post, Sophie Choudry commented, “I hope you know I sang the backing vocals on Made in India as a kid. That was my debut.”

On the professional front, Kriti Sanon had recently wrapped up the shoot for her highly-anticipated drama, “Tere Ishk Mein.” She took to Instagram to announce the wrap-up news and posted a couple of behind-the-scenes photos. “And its a wrap on #TereIshkMein !! Love wrapped in Anand Rai style drama and intensity!! After a roller coaster ride and a marathon of emotionally and physically draining schedules..Another beautiful journey comes to an end.. but this one has given me memories and equations that will last forever!!,” she captioned the post.

Expressing her gratitude for director Aanand L Rai, Kriti wrote, “@aanandlrai thank you for holding my one hand through this journey to find Mukti, and for feeding me the yummiest food with so much love with the other hand I have enjoyed every moment being directed by you sir!.”

For her co-star Dhanush, the actress mentioned, “@dhanushkraja you are one of the finest and most intelligent actors I have worked with!!! Such a pleasure doing scenes with you my friend! Here’s to many more together!! stay amazing and stay in touch!!”

‘Homebound’ director Neeraj Ghaywan on “consciously” casting Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa

Mumbai, Sep 22 (IANS) Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar’s “Homebound” has been announced as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2026.

The movie stars young Bollywood stars Jahnvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa. In a press conference held by the makers today, director Neeraj Ghaywan spoke about casting Jahnvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa in “Homebound” being a conscious decision. “We had a story that we knew was powerful. If our goal was only to take the film to festivals like Cannes or TIFF, we were confident it would receive applause. But we also understood that if we wanted the movie to truly reach the audience and connect with people, we needed the support of stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa.” He further added, “That said, I want to emphasize that no matter what, the story will always remain the real king of any film.”

For the uninitiated, “Homebound” has been selected under the Best International Feature category at the Oscars 2026 as India’s official entry. The movie has been produced by Dharma Productions.

Ever since the news was announced, fans and Bollywood stars took to their social media accounts to congratulate the entire Homebound team. Actress Janhvi Kapoor also took to her social media account to share her happiness and wrote, “Every part of this film has been nothing short of a dream. The journey, the people, what this story means, and how personal it’s been for everyone in our team. At every step I have been thankful I could witness this journey, which in my mind was truly the reward in itself.”

She added, “Everything since has been a celebration of all these people that I love and respect so much, for their talent, their goodness, and their courage. @neeraj.ghaywan @karanjohar @vishaljethwa06 @ishaankhatter this movie and even its journey, has been about hope, in so many more ways than one would expect in cinemas on the 26th of September :)”

For the uninitiated, “Homebound,” which premiered at the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2025, received a nine-minute-long standing ovation. It also premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF.
