Akshay Kumar reveals his plans on making a movie on housewives, calls them ‘Ghar Ke Superstars’

Mumbai, Aug 16 (IANS) Actress Kiara Advani used social media to thank the movie buffs for showering love on her recently released “War 2”, alongside Hrithik Roshan and NTR.

Thanking them for an “incredible” response to the action entertainer, Kiara wrote on her X timeline: “Your love speaks the loudest… Incredible seeing how people are enjoying #War2 in theatres and coming out and expressing it with so much support and passion.”

“Films like #War2 are meant to entertain and seeing your smiles, your cheers, your excitement fills my heart with joy,” the ‘Kabir Singh’ actress added.

Kiara also posted a photo of herself from the movie where she was in the middle of a high-octane action sequence.

Additionally, Hrithik opened up about his ‘War 2’ character Kabir, which he claims will always be one of his most cherished on-screen roles.

He revealed that the character was brought to life back in 2019 with “War” and ended up fueling him both as an actor and entertainer.

Treating the netizens with a few images from the Ayan Mukerji’ directorial,

Hrithik penned: “In Kabir’s world, battles may be won.. but the war goes on. A character that came to life in 2019, has only fueled my fire as an Actor & Entertainer. Witnessing all your cheers & celebrations in cinema halls, only makes Kabir taller and my heart fuller.”

“Kabir was and always will be one of my most cherished on-screen characters. Thank you for all your love & well-wishes for #War2 and Kabir,” he added.

The sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, the film features Hrithik, NTR, and Kiara in the lead, along with Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor in crucial roles.

Released on August 14, “War 2” takes forward the tale of Kabir Dhaliwal (Played by Hrithik), a former intelligence agent, who, after going rogue, becomes a major threat to national security, and a special units officer Vikram Chelapathi (Played by NTR) is assigned to neutralize him.

Mumbai, Jan 3 (IANS) Twinkle Khanna turned a year older on December 29, and she decided to spend her birthday doing a lot of sniffing around with her loved ones.

On her birthday, the ‘Mela’ actress visited the Musee du Parfum in Paris with her actor husband, Akshay Kumar.

Twinkle revealed that during their visit, they ended up encountering around 50 bottles of fragrances such as vetiver, caramel, and ember.

Not just that, they even got a chance to create their own fragrance. Twinkle named her perfume “Birthday Note”.

Dropping an overview of their visit on her Instagram, Twinkle wrote, “This year instead of blowing out candles, my birthday celebration entailed a lot of sniffing around. The family took me to the Musée du Parfum. (sic)”

“We encountered over 50 glass bottles of fragrances like vetiver, caramel, oud and amber. Then we each blended a unique perfume from the essences we loved. Mine was called Birthday Note.

Scents carry memories, and this one will follow me to airports, old sweaters, and days when I want to remember my birthday in Marakesh”, she added.

Wishing his better half on her birthday, Akshay posted a fun picture on social media where Twinkle was seen with a serious expression, aiming her leg at Akshay as she pulled off a stunt. Holding her foot, Akshay was seen laughing as he twinned with his wife in black.

“Behind every action hero is a wife who can knock him out with one look, or one kick 😉 Mrs Funnybones, you still hit me harder than any stunt ever did. Happy Birthday, love you,” Akshay’s birthday note for Twinkle read.

Twinkle’s “Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ co-host Kajol also penned a lovely wish for her.

Wishing her “partner in crime,” Kajol posted an image of the two smiling at the camera together, reflecting their close bond.

Mumbai, June 18 (IANS) TV actor Sagar Parekh recently added a flavorful touch of home to the sets of “Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah” by treating his co-stars Aarya Babbar and Vijayendra Kumeria to a traditional Bihari delicacy—litti chokha.

The heartfelt gesture not only delighted his co-actors but also offered a warm glimpse into Sagar’s cultural roots. Speaking about treating his co-actors and the crew to homemade Litti Chokha, Sagar said that sharing a part of his culture with his co-stars and watching everyone savour the meal turned an ordinary shooting day into a truly heartwarming and memorable experience.

“I had often spoken about Litti Chokha on set, and both Aarya sir and Vijayendra were eager to try it. They kept saying it was on their must-try list for a while now, so I felt this was the perfect opportunity to bring some homemade Litti Chokha—a special delicacy from my hometown—for everyone to enjoy, especially made by mom. Their reaction was absolutely priceless. They loved it wholeheartedly and couldn’t stop praising the flavours!”

The ‘Anupamaa’ actor added, “Seeing their excitement and appreciation made me feel incredibly proud and fulfilled. Sharing a part of my culture with my co-stars and watching everyone savour the meal turned an ordinary shooting day into a truly heartwarming and memorable experience.”

Earlier, Sagar Parekh had opened up about his off-screen bond with Aarya Babbar, revealing that their dynamic behind the scenes was completely different from the tense father-son relationship they portrayed on the show. Describing Aarya’s energy as “unmatched,” Sagar shared how the two would often joke around, indulge in spontaneous fun, and fill the set with infectious laughter—turning even the most intense shoot days into moments of light-hearted camaraderie.

“On screen, Aarya Sir and I might be constantly at odds as father and son, but behind the scenes, it’s a completely different story.
