Mumbai Oct 24 (IANS) After the makers of Spirit unveiled an explosive audio teaser in five languages, troll accounts targeting actress Deepika Padukone jumped on the bandwagon, attempting to capitalize on the hype by posting misleading comments online.

A fake social media profile pretending to be Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone shared a reaction to Prabhas’ first look from “Spirit”. The post claimed that Deepika was “sad” but found the teaser “wonderful.”

The viral post came from a fake account impersonating her, misleading fans online after Vanga unveiled the first audio teaser of Spirit, which was released in five Indian languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

“I am sad but wonderful video Sandeep Reddy and happy birthday #Prabhas sir,” the tweet read.

For those who do not know, Deepika was replaced by Triptii Dimri in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next.

Although the exact reason for her exit is not known, if the reports are to be believed, the director was discouraged by the long list of demands from Deepika, which reportedly included limited working hours, a significant paycheck, and a share in the film’s profits.

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga wished Prabhas on his birthday by dropping the first ‘sound story’ from “Spirit”. He took to his X (Earlier known as Twitter) handle and dropped the audio teaser of the film in five Indian languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The around one-minute audio teaser showed a jailer and his assistant discussing an ex-cop who is currently in their remand. The jailer was heard giving instructions to his assistant on how to treat him just like any other inmate. While the assistant advised him to maintain decorum, the jailer instructed his assistant to strip off the prisoner, search him, and send him for tests.

Posting the video on social media, Sandeep Reddy Vanga wrote, “Happy Birthday Prabhas anna. Presenting a ‘SOUND-STORY’ in five Indian languages straight from the heart, for every fan who’s felt his (sic).”

Moreover, the clip further confirmed the core cast of the film, including Triptii Dimri, Kanchana, Prakash Raj, and Vivek Oberoi, along with Prabhas.

Mumbai July 25 (IANS) Veteran actress Aruna Irani has made her return to social media after an eight-year break.

She delighted her fans with a behind-the-scenes glimpse from her upcoming project, ‘Don’t Mess With My Grandma’.

Taking to her social media account, the actress shared a video from the sets of the show, offering a sneak peek into the making of the project.

The clip features members of the cast and crew during a shoot, with Aruna seen dressed in a black embellished saree for her role.

Sharing the video, she wrote, “Missed me? After an 8-years of break from Instagram, I’m officially back now! And what better way to return than giving you a little glimpse behind the scenes of my new show? Watch me in action on ‘Don’t Mess With My Grandma’, streaming on the Kuku TV app. Trust me, you don’t want to mess with this Dadi!.”

She also tagged actor-director Karanvir Bohra, who has directed the project.

Before stepping away from in 2019, Aruna’s last post on her social media account was in October, when she wished megastar Amitabh Bachchan on his birthday. Sharing a monochrome throwback picture featuring the two actors, she had written, “Wishing @amitabhbachchan a very very happy birthday.”

On the professional front, Aruna Irani made her acting debut as a child artiste in the 1961 film ‘Ganga Jamuna’.

Over the decades, she went on to feature in more than 500 films across Hindi, Gujarati and many regional languages.

Her filmography includes acclaimed movies such as ‘Caravan’, ‘Bombay to Goa’, ‘Bobby’, ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’, ‘Sargam’, ‘Love Story’, ‘Beta’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Suhaag’, ‘Khoon Pasina’ and ‘Pet Pyaar Aur Paap’, among many others.

Mumbai, July 23 (IANS) Actor Manish Wadhwa has opened up about his role in the upcoming series “Shankar—The Revolutionary Man.”

In an exclusive interview with IANS, he described how he explored the contrasting elements of wisdom and ego through his character. Speaking about his role, the ‘Gadar 2’ actor shared, “Mandan Mishra is seen as a guru with many disciples and a renowned scholar. But something happens that changes everything—he ends up becoming a disciple himself, and that too in front of a young sannyasi, a child. Imagine someone so respected and learned having to bow to a child’s wisdom. That fall—and what follows—is the twist. How it all plays out is something the audience will enjoy watching.”

When asked whether his character in ‘Shankar – The Revolutionary Man’ is very different from his real-life personality and if he found it challenging, Manish Wadhwa shared that the role pushed him to tap into contrasting emotions, making it both demanding and creatively fulfilling.

“Every role comes with its own challenges. If something seems easy, it may not be satisfying to perform. It’s the internal struggle that makes it fulfilling. Even though it’s tough, it’s also enjoyable. I’ve started preparing accordingly because my shoot is about to begin. I’m exploring how to portray him in a way that is distinct from my earlier roles. Just like people look different even when wearing the same outfit, every character brings their own essence.”

When asked if ego plays a significant role in Mandan Mishra’s journey, Manish stated, “Yes, it does. When you possess deep knowledge, there’s a tendency for ego to creep in. If you become arrogant about your wisdom, it can be your downfall. That’s what happens with Mandan Mishra. He is challenged—not physically, but intellectually—and that challenge strips away his ego.”

“What’s beautiful is that this isn’t about defeat in the traditional sense. It’s about being convinced by superior wisdom. In the creative world too, whether in cinema or any other field, it’s all about that: either you convince the other, or they convince you. That exchange of ideas is everything.”

“Shankar – The Revolutionary Man” is an upcoming television series based on the life and profound teachings of the revered saint and philosopher Adi Shankaracharya. Backed by Modi Studios in association with Rajarshi Bhupendra Modi, the show boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Shilpa Shirodkar, Abhishek Nigam, Rajesh Shringarpure, Farnaz Shetty, Rati Pandey and Manoj Joshi.
