Ankita Lokhande says ‘Miss You’ as she remembers her late father on his birth anniversary

Chennai, Aug 18 (IANS)Actor Raghava Lawrence, who recently helped a man who had to pledge his late wife’s mangalsutra to fund his daughter’s education, has now said that his heart was truly full.

The actor, who is known for lending a helping hand to the poor and financially weak through his movement Maatram, recently chose to retrieve the gold mangalsutra that a poor father had pledged in order to pay the college fees of his daughter.

Taking to his X timeline to share the development, he wrote, “Hi everyone! I came across a story about a father who had pawned his late wife’s thali to pay for his daughter’s education. This touched me deeply, because my own family once went through a similar struggle. Through Maatram, I was able to retrieve the thali and return it to him. It was not just gold, but a precious memory of his beloved wife. My heart is truly full today. #Maatram #serviceisgod”

This isn’t the first time the actor has been seen lending a helping hand. Last year, the actor bought 10 tractors and distributed it to poor villages all across the state for the benefit of poor farmers.

Several poor farmers from the state who stood to benefit from the free tractors that actor Raghava Lawrence had donated to them last year expressed their gratitude to him this year by coming in person and gifting him a portion of their produce.

The actor, director and producer had taken to his 0X timeline to share this news earlier this year.

He had then said, “Hi friends and fans, You are all aware that I handed over 10 tractors to farmers through the Maatram Foundation with my own money. The farmers called me and wanted to bring all the grains and vegetables they farmed using the tractors. My heart feels so full to receive it from their hands and I wish to contribute more for farmers in the future.#Serviceisgod #Mattram.”

He also posted a video clip of the farmers meeting him with their produce.

Some of the farmers who had come to greet the actor were also seen speaking in the video clip.

One farmer said, “The tractor that Master(Raghava Lawrence is also referred to as Master as he was a dance choreographer before turning actor)came and gave us last year was not just beneficial to us but to every poor farmer around us. The entire village thought that we should present what we produced using the tractor to the master as a gift.”

Another young farmer pointed out that each of the tractors that he presented cost Rs 10 lakhs while a woman farmer expressed the wish that the actor must present many more such tractors to farmers across the state.

Los Angeles, Sep 2 (IANS) Actress Millie Bobby Brown, who is known for her work in the superhit streaming series ‘Stranger Things’, has shared a set of new family photos, and they also feature her daughter. However, the actress smartly concealed the face of the little one.

The actress and her husband Jake Bongiovi revealed two weeks ago they had adopted a baby girl. Recently, the 21-year-old star shared a string of photos from their new life as a family of three, reports ‘Female First UK’.

One photograph features Jake, wearing a black hat and jacket, cargo shorts and sneakers, walking towards a plane while holding his daughter’s car seat, with the tot covered by a white baby blanket. Other images in the Instagram carousel included Millie and her 23-year-old husband posing for a mirror selfie on a date night, the Florence by Mills founder wearing a headscarf and bikini top, and a picture of a pig.

She simply captioned the post with three emojis, a baby bottle, stars, and a yellow chick. Millie and Jake, who married in 2024 after three years together, revealed on 21 August that they had become parents for the first time.

They wrote in a joint post on Instagram, “This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy (tree emoji) And then there were 3 Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi (sic)”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, Millie previously admitted that she was looking forward to the challenges of parenthood and had always hoped to be a young mother.

During an appearance on the Smartless podcast, she explained, “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me”.

“And my nan, my grandmother, she was a huge part of my life. And so, yeah, I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally”, she added.

Mumbai, Oct 23 (IANS) Stand up star Krushna Abhishek, who will be seen on the comedy special episode of “Kaun Banega Crorepati 17”, shared an anecdote about his name to megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

During his conversation with Amitabh, Krushna went on to reveal why he changed his name from Abhishek to Krushna Abhishek.

He said: “My parents named me Abhishek after your son, as they were big fans. But when I entered films, my PR team suggested a change since Abhishek had already become a star. Being a Krishna bhakt, my dad renamed me Krushna.”

Along with Krushna, comedian-actor Sunil Grover was seen on the stage of the quiz-based reality show.

Krushna had earlier expressed how privileged he felt to learn from the veteran actor while enjoying fun moments. Taking to his Instagram handle, Krushna posted an image featuring him posing alongside Big B and Sunil.

Sharing the image, Krushna wrote, “The man who has inspired us all woh kehete hain na ki admi dekh ke seekhta hai aur aap se hi sab kutch seekha Hain. Last week, the comedian posted his photo with the veteran actor on his birthday. In the caption, Abhishek said the Big B has always been his favourite since childhood.

“Wishing u a very happy birthday sir @amitabhbachchan u hv always been my fav since my childhood. Pray for u to be healthy and happy always love and wishes,” wrote Krushna Abhishek.
