Mumbai, May 15 (IANS) To mark Madhuri Dixit’s 59th birthday on Friday, the makers of “Maa Behen”, a chaotic crime-comedy, announced that the upcoming film will premiere on the streaming giant Netflix on June 4.
Along with Madhuri, the film also stars Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durgaa, and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles. They are joined by Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh, and Shardul Bhardwaj.
Premiering on June 4, at the heart of “Maa Behen” is Rekha, a mother who’s already juggling enough until life throws her the ultimate curveball, a dead body in her kitchen. With her two daughters, Jaya, the responsible one, and Sushma, the wild card, this trio must think fast, lie faster, and somehow keep their nosy neighbors from sniffing out the truth.
An Abundantia Entertainment Production in association with Opening Image Films and directed by Suresh Triveni, who has helmed films such as “Tumhari Sulu” and “Jalsa”.

Mumbai, May 22 (IANS) National Award-winning star Rajkummar Rao says he chooses projects based on instinct, not success or value.
When asked how he chooses films—whether based on the value they add to his life or the value he brings to them—Rajkummar told IANS: “It’s not about the value it would add to me, because I go with my gut feeling. If I like a story—something that excites you—there’s something about it… some kind of chemical reaction, a spark that happens inside when you hear a good story.”
Rajkummar, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film “Bhool Chuk Maaf”, says he picks films only when both the story and the maker feel right.
He added: “And if the maker is right for that story—because it’s not enough for the story to be great if the maker isn’t—then it’s a no. But if the story is good and the maker is also good, then I say yes to it.”
“I don’t think about how big a success it will be or what value it will add to my life. If it’s really good, then I just do it. Simple.”
“Bhool Chuk Maaf” is finally set to release in theatres on May 23, which was earlier scheduled to release digitally on May 16 as the makers back then claimed ‘spirit of the nation comes first.’
The disagreement between the production banner and the cinema chain commenced after Maddock Films cancelled the film’s theatrical release amidst the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, and chose a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. Upset by this, PVR Inox sought the court’s intervention for the breach of contract.
The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, with music by Tanishk Bagchi, lyrics by Irshad Kamil, and vocals by Tanishk Bagchi and Madhubanti Bagchi.
Talking about “Bhool Chuk Maaf”, directed by Karan Sharma, the film revolves around Ranjan, a small-town romantic boy from Banaras,who lands a government job to marry Titli but forgets his vow to Lord Shiva-only to be trapped until he fulfills his promise. A hilarious tale of love, fate, and redemption unfolds.

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) Actor Zaheer Iqbal, who is also the husband of actress Sonakshi Sinha, is exploring the sea. On Tuesday, the actor took to his Instagram, and shared a series of pictures and video in which he could be seen taking sailing lessons.
In one of the videos, the actor was seen explaining the parts of the boat. He wrote in the caption, “Decided to take Sailing lessons today”.
Earlier, Zaheer and Sonakshi recently hosted director and choreographer Farah Khan and her cook Dilip at their home for her YouTube channel. Along with making food together, they also had some fun conversation in the presence of both Sonakshi and Zaheer’s mothers.
When Farah asked the lovebirds how their parents met for the first time, Sonakshi revealed that they had arranged a party at the actress and friend Huma Qureshi’s house, which was like the first unofficial introduction for both sets of parents.
She added that all the parents, including Huma’s, ended up having a great time at the get-together. When Farah asked Sonakshi’s mom, Poonam Sinha if she came to suspect anything, she revealed that in fact she did. “Sonakshi was sitting on the foot of Zaheer’s mother”, she revealed.
To this, Farah took a hilarious jibe saying, “No one sits on their own parent’s feet”.
Zaheer and Sonakshi are among Bollywood’s most discussed couples, known for their warmth and easy camaraderie. Zaheer made his acting debut with ‘Notebook’, and is known for his affable screen presence, while Sonakshi has carved a successful career with strong commercial hits and diverse roles.
