On Yogi Adityanath’s birthday, makers of ‘Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi’ announce release date

Mumbai, June 5 (IANS) On the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s birthday, the makers of “Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi” celebrated the special day by unveiling the film’s release date along with a brand-new poster.

The poster offered a fresh glimpse into the upcoming biographical drama inspired by Yogi Adityanath’s life and journey. On Thursday, the production house took to social media to reveal a striking new poster, introducing audiences to Anantvijay Joshi in the lead role. Dressed in saffron attire, the character embodies spiritual power, determination, and leadership. With a piercing gaze and a commanding presence, the poster captures the spirit of a man guided by purpose and unwavering commitment.

Sharing the intriguing poster, the makers wrote, “Jag chhoda, Bhagwa Odha, Seva mein ramm gaya. Ek Yogi — jo akela hi poora aandolan ban gaya!” Yogi Ji Ke Janmotsav par prastut hai us kahaani ka aarambh. #AjeyTheUntoldStoryOfAYogi – 1st August se cinema gharoṅ mein.”

Producer Ritu Mengi shared, “Announcing the release date on this occasion is a heartfelt tribute to an extraordinary life of Yogiji—one that inspires millions. At its heart, Ajey portrays a transformation driven by sacrifice, duty, and dharma.”

Based on Shantanu Gupta’s bestselling biography ‘The Monk Who Became Chief Minister,’ “Ajey” portrays the remarkable journey of a man who abandoned worldly desires to become one of India’s most powerful political leaders. Directed by Ravindra Gautam and produced by Ritu Mengi, the screenplay is crafted by Dilip Bachchan Jha and Priyank Dubey, while the music is composed by Meet Bros. The film’s associate producer is B-Live Productions (Suuraj Singh), with Vishnu Rao as the director of photography and Udai Prakash Singh handling production design.

Scheduled for release on August 1, 2025, the film features Anantvijay Joshi in a pivotal role, supported by a talented cast including Paresh Rawal, Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua, Ajay Mengi, Rajesh Khattar, Pawan Malhotra, and Garima Vikrant Singh.

Pulkit Samrat expresses his excitement as ‘Suswagatam Khushamadeed’ finally gets release date after hurdles

Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) Pulkit Samrat and Isabelle Kaif’s upcoming romantic comedy, “Suswagatam Khushamadeed,” has finally secured a release date after overcoming numerous hurdles.

The actor expressed his excitement and relief over the announcement, reflecting on the challenges the film has overcome to reach this stage. The film features the fresh pairing of Pulkit along with the debutant Isabelle Kaif, sister of actress Katrina Kaif. Set against a vibrant backdrop, the movie showcases a unique cross-cultural love story, emphasizing the power of togetherness in today’s divided world.

Speaking about the film, the ‘Fukrey’ actor shared, “I am happy to be a part of a good story and a good team. I am glad that the makers believe so much in the film that in spite of so many hurdles, date changes, etc., we are finally gonna release the film that we’ve made with so much love! It’s been years of waiting, and now I can’t wait for the audiences to watch this work of heart and labor!”

Isabelle, who will be seen playing the role of Noor in the film, shared, “Being part of this film has been a wonderful experience. Working with Pulkit and director Dhiraj has been great. We had a lovely time shooting, and I hope the audience enjoys the film!”

“Suswagatam Khushamadeed” is produced by Sharwan Kumar Agarwal, Anil Agarwal, Dhiraj, Deepak Dhar, Azaan Ali, Suneel Rao, and co-produced by Javed Deoriawale, and is directed by Dhiraj Kumar. The film also stars actors like Sahil Vaid, Priyanka Singh, late Rituraj Singh, Meghna Malik, late Arun Bali, Neela Mulherkar, Manu Rishi Chaddha, Prashant Singh, Rajkumar Kanoujia, Mehul Surana, Shruti Ulfat, and Sajjad Delafrooz.

The romantic comedy is slated to hit the theatres on 16th May 2025.

I don’t think it is competition, says Nani on Hit: The Third Case releasing with Surya’s Retro

Chennai, April 26 (IANS) Actor Nani, whose much-awaited film, ‘Hit: The Third Case’, will release on May 1, the same day that actor Suriya’s eagerly-awaited ‘Retro’, hits screens has said that he does not see the films as competitors.

At a press conference that was held in Chennai, Nani was asked how he viewed the fact that his film would be taking on Suriya’s Retro at the box office on May 1.

Nani replied, “I don’t think it is competition. I think it is partying. I think we both are coming to celebrate our films with all of you. Definitely, it will be amazing here. ‘Retro’ will be the first choice of the Tamil audience and rightfully so. I hope you will have a great experience in theatre watching Retro because I have huge respect for Suriya sir and I love Karthik’s (Karthik Subbaraj)work and I am sure they are going to create some magic in theatres.

“I think a great weekend can have two films. So, after you all enjoy your ‘Retro’, I am promising you all a great experience in the theatres with ‘Hit 3’. In Telugu also, we are going to deliver and at the same time, I hope ‘Retro’ also works very well in Telugu. I want not just ‘Retro’ and ‘Hit 3’ alone (to do well)as ‘Raid 2’ is also releasing in Hindi. I want May 1 to be that day, where across the country, everywhere, all movies do very, very well and bring back audiences to theatres in hordes because all three films look exciting. All three films have great content. I want that day to be celebrated like a movie watching day.”

It may be recalled that the makers of ‘Hit: The Third Case’ had, several days ago, released a teaser of the film which gave away the fact that Nani plays the role of a tough cop called Arjun Sarkaar in the film.

A series of scenes in the teaser showed Arjun Sarkaar putting his laathi skills to good use. At the same time, the teaser showed that Arjun Sarkaar looked for patterns in crimes and used them to establish motive. The teaser ended with a voice over saying, “I have had my doubts about you from the first day itself. Are you really a police officer?” Arjun Sarkaar replies to this question saying, “People have believed this lie for far too long. I will show you the original.”

The film, which is the third instalment from the HIT universe, has triggered huge expectations among fans and film buffs.

Directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Prashanthi Tipirneni, the film will feature Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead. Music for the film is by Mickey J Meyer and cinematography is by Sanu John Varghese. The film’s editing has been taken care of by Karthika Srinivas R.
