Mumbai, Oct 3 (IANS) Actress Sonam Kapoor is brimming with excitement as the Kapoor family gears up for Anshula Kapoor’s wedding.

The ‘Neerja’ actress took to Instagram to express her joy, writing, “Ready for my @anshulakapoor let the celebrations begin!.” Sonam Kapoor shared a series of stunning pictures in which she can be seen flaunting a chic Indo-western ensemble. In the caption, she revealed details about her outfit — a stylish brown look featuring a long skirt, matching top, and a blazer. The actress served major fashion goals with her elegant and contemporary style.

On Thursday, Sonam Kapoor attended her cousin Anshula Kapoor’s engagement ceremony in Mumbai. Known for her ease around the paparazzi, the actress chose to keep a low profile this time. She avoided posing for the photographers. Interestingly, Sonam arrived solo for the event, without husband Anand Ahuja or their son Vayu, and headed straight inside without posing for pictures.

Sonam made her first public appearance since reports of her second pregnancy surfaced.

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor’s sister and influencer Anshula Kapoor got engaged to her longtime partner, screenwriter Rohan Thakkar, on October 2. The intimate ceremony in Mumbai was attended by close family and friends. Among those present were Arjun’s cousins Sonam, Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jahaan Kapoor, along with Maheep Kapoor, who arrived with her children. The celebrations also saw the presence of Anshula’s father, Boney Kapoor, and cousin Mohit Marwah with his wife.

For the occasion, he chose a traditional kurta and made a heartfelt appeal to the media to respect the family’s privacy during the celebrations. Arjun and Anshula Kapoor are the children of Boney Kapoor and his late wife, Mona Kapoor, who passed away from cancer in 2012.

For the unversed, Anshula has been in a relationship with Rohan Thakkar since 2022, after the two connected on a dating app. Rohan proposed to her in July 2025.

Chennai, Jan 14 (IANS) Stating that he was a nobody to be warning a stalwart like actor Vijay’s fans, ‘Parasakthi’ creative producer and actor Dev Ramnath has now clarified that a lot of people had misrepresented him and that the point he had tried to make through a post on X had been misconstrued.

Talking exclusively to IANS, the actor and producer explained, “A lot of people have misrepresented me saying that I have spoken against Vijay sir’s fans. It’s a complete misrepresentation. I am nobody to be warning Vijay sir’s fans. Vijay sir is a stalwart. I have grown up watching his films. I am a nobody. My only request, as someone who’s come from a complete non-industry, non-political background, is that this film gets its due. We have put in the hard yards for the last 10 years to come to this and to do this film. And over the last six to 18 months, we’ve put our hearts and souls into it. The same goes for ‘Jana Nayakan’. There are hundreds of people who have worked on ‘Jana Nayakan’. When this happens to a film, it’s difficult for everyone who has worked on it.”

But should there be no criticism then? The producer explained, “Criticisms are fine. Criticisms are always welcome. But whatever the film deserves, it should get. It shouldn’t be pulled down just for the sake of being pulled down. It shouldn’t be brought to a level that is less deserving of what it actually deserves. What’s the point of saying, It’s a good film after watching it on OTT, right? It’s for our theatres.”

Dev Ramnath was equally critical of what had happened to Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ as well.

“What happened to ‘Jana Nayakan’ is wrong. Pulling down a film, be it ‘Jana Nayagan’, be it ‘Parasakthi’ or be it any other film that came last year or that is going to come, is wrong. I am just saying the industry is in a very bad space. I think a lot of producers are thinking twice before starting a film. Lesser number of films are being made. When the industry is in such a space, it is our joint responsibility — the responsibility of writers, the directors, the producers, the actors and the fans to act responsibly and push it to a stage than what it is right now and not pull it down.”

For the unaware, director Sudha Kongara’s film ‘Parasakthi’, featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela in the lead, revolves around the anti-Hindi agitation that rocked the state of Tamil Nadu in the 1960s.

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela, the film also features Ravi Mohan as the antagonist and Atharvaa in a pivotal role.

‘Parasakthi’, which was tentatively being referred to as #SK25 as it is Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film, has music by G V Prakash and cinematography by experienced cameraman Ravi K Chandran. Stunts for the film are by Supreme Sundar. The film hit screens on January 10 for the festival of Pongal.

Mumbai, March 1 (IANS) Renowned playback singer Shreya Ghosal has warned her fans about her X account being hacked since February 13th.

On Saturday, the singer took to her Instagram handle to inform her followers that despite her efforts, she has been unable to regain control of the account.

Sharing a photo, Shreya wrote, “Hello fans and friends. My Twitter / X account is hacked since February 13th. I have tried every thing in my capacity to reach out to the X team. But there has been no response beyond a few auto generated responses. I am unable to even delete my account since I can’t log in any more. Please don’t click on any link or believe any message written from that account. They are all spams and fishing links. I will update personally through a video if the account is recovered and is safe.”

Meanwhile, the singer recently made headlines for supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to combat obesity. Ghosal posted her video wherein she said, “Our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji has started a fantastic campaign called Anti-Obesity. It is the need of the hour as our country is rapidly growing and making its mark globally. It starts with getting our health in order. Let’s pledge to eat right, reduce oil consumption, cut down on sugar, eat nutritious food, consume seasonal food, and provide young children with more nutritious food. This is the greatest wealth we can have in our lives. So, let’s make small changes at home and create a big impact in our country.”

She captioned the post, “Truly honored to be a part of the #antiobesity #fightobesity campaign promoting wellness and a balanced lifestyle, led by our honorable Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi ji… Let’s step up and work towards a fitter India, for it’s the real wealth we can leave for future generations.”

On February 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi nominated actors Mohanlal, R Madhavan, Nirahua, and singer Shreya Ghoshal from the film industry to join him in his fight against obesity.
