Mahesh Babu calls Fahadh Faasil a “stupendous actor”; praises actor’s film ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’

Mumbai, Aug 5 (IANS) The controversy around the AI-altered ending of the Dhanush-starrer ‘Raanjhanaa’ has been gaining momentum, as the artist fraternity has called it a gross misconduct, and exploitation of power by the producers of the film.

Bollywood multi-hyphenate Farhan Akhtar, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming war epic ‘120 Bahadur’, has decided to stand with the director of the film Aanand L. Rai, whose consent was not taken before altering the film’s ending.

Farhan, who attended the trailer launch of ‘120 Bahadur’ in the Lower Parel area of Mumbai on Tuesday, told the media, “I will always stand with the creator of the film. And if the creator of the film was unhappy about his or her work being changed, I will always support the creator. So that’s where my loyalty lies. The rest, the finer print of what happened there, I am not privy to. But that’s all I can say about that”.

Farhan’s business partner Ritesh Sidhwani, who co-owns Excel Entertainment with him, concurred, “I agree with Farhan. I think AI is something we need to embrace and use in the most right way and effective way. And I have said this even before. There were times when, I am talking of earlier times, when we used to do research based on going to a library, reading a book, opening that. Then Google came into our lives and we started doing it in a different way. I think you need to use AI smartly”.

“And don’t get lazy with it. But I absolutely agree with the fact that you can’t do it without the consent of something. I haven’t seen this but I have heard about it and read about it. And I don’t think it’s cool that if the filmmaker as well as the actors and the people involved have not given the consent, it shouldn’t be done. So I think AI is here but you have to use it very smartly. And use it to your advantage”, he added.

Mumbai, Oct 25 (IANS) Actor and Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan is setting major fitness goals just two months after welcoming her second baby.

The actress, who became a mother recently, has started her post-pregnancy fitness routine. She recently shared a video from a first day back at the gym. In the clip, Gauahar is seen working out with dumbbells dressed in a striped sleeveless top and black leggings. She captioned the video, “Be Your Own Champion: Day 1 in the gym, almost two months postpartum.”

She also tagged her husband Zaid Darbar, stating that his latest song, which released a few days ago, had now become her gym anthem. The video, shared on her social media stories, shows her performing bicep curls and strength training exercises. Gauahar and her husband, social media influencer Zaid Darbar, welcomed their second child together in September.

The actress recently shared a striking new picture on her social media where she highlighted that she was back on set working just 25 days post her delivery. Khan was seen donning a stylish black pantsuit with wide-legged trousers and a statement white lapel blazer. The picture was taken from her appearance on Bigg Boss season 19 during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode.

Gauahar was invited to the show to give contestants a much-needed reality check and extend her support to brother-in-law Awez Darbar, who unfortunately got evicted from the show the very next day. Sharing the picture, Gauahar wrote in her caption, “You are so perfect. #25dayspostpartum.”Her words highlighted her pride at returning to work just 25 days after giving birth to her second baby, balancing her personal and professional commitments with grace.

For the uninitiated, Khan and her husband, Zaid Darbar, embraced parenthood for the second time on the 1st of September. They are parents to a 3-year-old baby boy, Zehaan, who was born in May 2023.

Mumbai, August 20 (IANS) Actress Divya Dutta says the emotional complexity of her upcoming psychological relationship drama ‘Tum Rahe Na Tum’ was what drew her to the project, which also stars Jimmy Shergill in the lead.

Directed by Prem Prakash Modi, ‘Tum Rahe Na Tum’ is an adaptation of Swedish playwright August Strindberg’s landmark play ‘The Father’.

The film transposes the emotional and psychological core of the classic into an intimate Indian family setting, exploring love, control, insecurity, parental expectations, toxic masculinity and ego, and how these forces can gradually alter relationships.

“What attracted me to the film was that nobody in this family is completely innocent or completely guilty. It is a very human, uncomfortable and layered story, and that complexity is what made the film particularly compelling for me,” Divya Dutta said.

The film is produced by Vinni Chawla and Sonu Katyal under their banner Fanatically Filmi Pvt. Ltd.

Prem Prakash Modi said the story is rooted in an Indian family but explores emotions that are universal.

“Tum Rahe Na Tum is an intimate exploration of relationships and the emotional spaces people inhabit within a family. I wanted to look at what happens when love, expectations, insecurity, ego and ideas of masculinity begin to affect the way people see each other. The film is rooted in a very Indian family setting, but the emotions are universal,” he said.

Talking about the lead actors, the director said Jimmy Shergill and Divya Dutta bring contrasting yet layered qualities to their characters.

“Jimmy Shergill has a rare ability to make a complex character feel deeply real which made him perfect for the role. Divya Dutta, on the other hand, brings an incredible ability to portray strength, vulnerability and complexity at the same time,” Modi said.

“I felt that the combination of Jimmy and Divya would bring exactly the kind of layered, lived-in relationship that the film demands. Both Jimmy and Divya are stepping into characters and emotional spaces that audiences haven’t seen them explore before,” he added.

Jimmy Shergill said the emotional complexity of the story immediately drew him to the project.

“Tum Rahe Na Tum immediately drew me in because of how deeply human and emotionally complex it is. It is the kind of story that makes you question what you see, what you believe and how people can experience the same relationship very differently,” he said.

The film also stars Harsh Chhaya, along with Zarina Wahab and Rajesh Jais in important roles.
