Nina Dobrev jokes ‘rumours are true’ as she says gluten is safe in Italy

Mumbai, Sep 10 (IANS) Actress Nina Dobrev has given a nod to Italy’s irresistible food culture as she joked gluten is safe there.

Dobrev took to Instagram, where she shared a string of images from her Italian getaway, where she’s seen gorging on pizzas and pastas. She was also seen enjoying the gondolas.

In the caption section, the actress mentioned that the “rumours are true.”

As she mentioned: “Can confirm the rumors are true. Gluten is safe in Italy.”

Nina is known for portraying Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries

She made her screen debut playing minor roles in various films, before landing her breakout role as Mia Jones in the drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She later rose to prominence with her role in The Vampire Diaries, and appeared in several feature films, including the 2012 coming-of-age drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the comedies Let’s Be Cops and The Final Girls and the 2017 science-fiction drama Flatliners.

Her biggest commercial success came with XXX: Return of Xander Cage. She also starred in the romantic comedies Dog Days, Then Came You, and Love Hard, and she had a leading role in the sitcom Fam.

Nina’s most recent work includes The Get Out, an action thriller film directed by Derrick Borte. It stars Russell Crowe, Luke Evans, Teresa Palmer, Danny Zovatto, Josh McConville, Nina Dobrev, and Aaron Paul. The screenplay by Borte and Daniel Forte is based on the 2010 novel Strip by Thomas Perry.

The film follows a nightclub owner, who is robbed by masked gunmen and squeezed by ruthless cartels, and plans to leave his dangerous past behind him for a quiet life of retirement. With danger closing in from all sides, he soon finds himself navigating a deadly web of deception, power and survival.

Chennai, June 30 (IANS) The makers of director Tharun Bhascker’s eagerly awaited Telugu entertainer ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Repeat’, featuring actor Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam, and Venkatesh Kakumanuin the lead, have now announced that the film will hit screens worldwide on November 19 this year.

The announcement of the release date couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time as the makers are currently celebrating the original blockbuster completing eight years. The team dropped a feel-good video backed by the beloved Friendship anthem, instantly reviving memories of the unforgettable Kanyaraasi gang.

For the unaware, ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi’ was a massive hit, and it struck a chord especially with the younger crowd, thanks to its raw honesty and effortlessly funny take on friendship and ambition. With time, the film only grew in stature, eventually earning cult status, a sentiment that was clearly evident when its re-release drew overwhelming response from fans.

Building on that legacy, the makers chose to make a sequel called ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi Repeat (ENE Repeat)’.

Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam, and Venkatesh Kakumanu have reunited for the sequel, reviving the chemistry that made the first film so memorable. In the sequel, Srinath Maganti will be seen along with this trio.

At the helm once again is Tharun Bhascker, ensuring the same quirky storytelling flavour, while Srujan Yarabolu, and Sandeep Nagireddy are backing the project under S Originals and Rootnode Cinema.

The unit of the film had filmed for a month in Thailand in April this year. A picture released from the set of the film captured a breezy, easygoing moment, brimming with laid-back charm.

The four boys — the “Team Kanyaraasi” gang, radiated effortless energy as they lounged in a vintage blue convertible. The frame beautifully fused a retro vibe with the spirit of a modern-day bro trip.

The sequel boasts of an excellent technical team. Music for the film is to be scored by Vivek Sagar while the film’s visuals are being crafted by cinematographer AJ Aaron. Raviteja Girijala has been assigned the task of overseeing editing.

Debina Bonnerjee shares candid family moments with hubby Gurmeet Choudhary and daughters

Mumbai, Aug 10 (IANS) Television actress Debina Bonnerjee gave a glimpse into her life beyond the spotlight as she shared a series of candid moments featuring her husband, actor Gurmeet Choudhary, and their two daughters.

The pictures offered a peek into the family’s everyday routine, from fitness sessions and dressed-up moments to their daughters learning new activities. Sharing the glimpses on social media, Debina captioned the post, “Apparently, this is what my camera roll looks like these days.”

She went on to describe the different moments captured in the photos, writing, “A little dressed up. A lot sweaty. Some tennis-red cheeks. Some 10+10 kg victories. Some Pilates. And two little girls learning to cycle, skate, fall, get up… and try again.”

The ‘Ramayan’ actress also reflected on how every member of the family is at a different stage of life and learning in their own way. She added, “Different stages. Different strengths. All of us, in our own way, learning to keep moving. Which slide is the most “your life right now.”

The carousel of photos featured Debina and Gurmeet striking a pose together, along with glimpses of their fitness routines. Debina also shared snippets of her workout sessions, while their daughters were seen enjoying activities such as yoga and skating.

Earlier in June, Gurmeet shared a heartfelt note on the true meaning of “home.” Reflecting on his family and the bond they share, the actor wrote that home is not defined by a place but by the people one loves and the memories created with them.

“Just thinking out loud…Hence decided to jot this down.. There was a time when I thought I was enough for myself and life would simply take its own course. Then Debina happened, and I realised that some journeys are meant to be shared. Bas laga jo hai, yahi hai… aur hamesha hum hi hain And then our two little monkeys came along and changed everything.”

The ‘Punar Vivaah’ actor added, “They taught me that home isn’t a place, it’s the people you love.. Now I know, life is simply about finding your people and walking each other home So.. Find your people, love them fiercely, stay loyal, stay present..In a world where everything feels temporary, real love is still the most beautiful thing you can hold on to..#Family #Love.”

For the unversed, Gurmeet Choudhary and his wife, Debina Bonnerjee, are parents to two daughters. Their elder daughter, Lianna, was born via surrogacy in April 2022, while their younger daughter, Divisha, was born in November 2022 through a natural delivery.

Rupali Ganguly bashes Mamata Banerjee’s TMC rule: This is not the Bengal I grew up in

Mumbai, April 19 (IANS) Popular television actress Rupali Ganguly criticised the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal. She shared that this is not the Bengal she grew up in.

Speaking exclusively to IANS, the ‘Anupamaa’ actress shared that she prays that a BJP government is formed in Bengal, claiming that Hindus have been oppressed in the state under the TMC rule.

Rupali said, “I pray to Goddess Durga every day that the BJP and its flag flutter there. I have seen my family there, under TMC rule, the way the Hindus there have been oppressed. My family didn’t have the courage to come out and vote. This is not the Bengal I grew up in”.

She further accused the Mamata government of inaction in the horrific

R.G. Kar Medical College case. Rupali added that they should have at least removed the Dean, instead of simply transferring him.

“I think it is very important that BJP’s government comes there and I have no shame in saying that I am ashamed that somebody like Mamata Banerjee has been the CM of a beautiful, beautiful state like Bengal. I mean, what she has done, the R.G.Kar case, you know. At least, they should have removed the Dean, at least to show off, but no, they got him transferred. Because of this shamelessness, everybody there has been oppressed; they have been tortured. So, it is high time, I hope that this time, the real Bengalis, the real Bengalis, all of them should stand together,” she added.

“And the Ghuspetis there, especially the Ghuspetis, if we have to take them out, if we have to take our Bengal back from the goons, then this time, please, without hesitation, go and vote. Our H.M. has said, Amit Shah has said that he himself is going to stay there. So, what are you afraid of? Go and vote for your and your children’s future,” Rupali concluded.
