Sunita Ahuja on ‘Lock Upp 2’ exit: ‘My diabetes increased, so I had to leave the game’

Mumbai, June 3 (IANS) Bollywood actress Ananya Panday took to social media to reveal what she’s been daydreaming about at the gym.

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Student of the Year’ actress shared a series of photos and captioned it, “At the gym but day dreaming of other things.” The first image shows Ananya taking a selfie at the gym, where she is seen flaunting her washboard abs. In the next shot, she looks glamorous in an off-shoulder dress. Other images feature plants arranged on a balcony, a building, sweet delicacies, an airplane, a swimming pool, and a stunning, peaceful night view of the sea.

Ananya Panday also uses Instagram to share professional updates. On June 2, she announced the release date of her upcoming film, “Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri.” She posted a picture of herself and co-star Kartik Aaryan sharing a kiss behind an Indian passport. For the caption, she wrote, “Flying together… #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri – in cinemas next Valentine’s Day : 13th Feb, 2026.”

The romantic drama “Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri” is slated to hit theatres on February 13, 2026. The film reunites Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, who last shared screen space in the 2019 hit “Pati Patni Aur Woh.”

Notably, this project also signifies a fresh beginning for Kartik and Dharma Productions, following their past fallout over Dostana 2. With this film, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan appear to have moved past their differences, signaling a renewed professional relationship.

Ananya was last seen playing the role of lawyer Dilreet Gill in “Kesari Chapter 2,” which also featured Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan. Her portrayal of a lawyer earned appreciation from both critics and audiences, who commended the conviction and nuance she brought to the character. This was the first time Panday appeared in a non-glamorous avatar.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, the historical drama was adapted from the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire,’ which focuses on C. Sankaran Nair and the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.

Mumbai, June 21 (IANS) Actor Rajat Bedi has opened up about the emotional impact of losing his father Narendra Bedi at a young age.

In an exclusive quote shared with IANS, he recalled being just nine years old when he suffered the loss. He said he was too young then to truly understand the significance of a father–child bond.

The ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ actor shared, “Father’s Day is a time to celebrate the special bond between fathers and their children. But unfortunately, I was not fortunate enough to have my father. I lost him when I was nine years old. I was too small to understand the bond between a father and child. Only realising it when I didn’t have him in my life, and seeing other children’s fathers and their bond, I felt a huge gap in my life.”

The actor believes that even though he did not get much time with his father, his father’s blessings have stayed with him and continued to guide him throughout his life. “But if you ask me what the one lesson from my father that continues to guide me today, I definitely miss his love. I feel his blessings. If he’s not around me also, I feel he’s protecting me somehow, somewhere, everywhere. I feel, as many times I fail or fall down, he picks me up, and he clears my way ahead and makes me rise. So I would say this is what I feel with his vacuum in my life.”

Reminiscing about his childhood memories, Bedi mentioned, “I remember being with him on shoots, being with him on the bed, him hugging me and playing a little with me. But he used to be extremely busy. He was a very well-established big producer and director and made all the blockbusters of his life.”

Speaking about his father’s legacy, the ‘Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ actor stated, “My father’s left a legacy, and I’m trying to revive that legacy. He’s worked really hard and made a brand out of his grandfather in his name. My grandfather, Rajinder Singh Bedi, who was a renowned Urdu literature writer, worked with Rishikesh Mukherjee. He’s worked with Amitabh Bachchan. He’s worked with Kishore Kumar. He’s worked with Prithviraj Chauhan and Raj Kapoor, and my father’s Narendra Bedi has learned direction under Raj Kapoor and made films with Rajesh Khanna, who was then a superstar.”

“Then he made successful films with Amitabh Bachchan – Adalat, Benaam and Bandhan. Then he made blockbusters with Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor. So my father has left a legacy behind.”

Rajat Bedi’s father and late filmmaker Narendra Bedi passed away on October 21, 1982, at the age of 45. He was best known for directing hit 1970s and 1980s films such as “Jawani Diwani” (1972), “Benaam” (1974), “Rafoo Chakkar” (1975), and “Maha Chor” (1976)

Mumbai, March 5 (IANS) Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga took a trip down memory lane and recalled how his phone was jammed after hours with messages after the success of “Arjun Reddy” starring Shahid Kapoor.

The “Animal” director was speaking to trade analyst Komal Nahta on his “Game Changers” Podcast. He spoke about his work and revealed which film became a game-changing moment in his career and how the experience felt like a turning point in his journey as a filmmaker.

Vanga revealed his game-changing film to be, “Arjun Reddy”.

He said: “The teaser was released on February 14, 2017, and that was a game-changing moment for me and Vijay Deverakonda. It was a game-changing day. So, at 7 o’clock, we released the teaser. Vijay and I literally pressed the button together on my laptop.”

The filmmaker added how the teaser itself was a massive hit.

“After 1-2 hours, my phone was jammed with messages. That day, we felt this film was going somewhere. The teaser was a bigger movement than the film itself because we saw the effect of the teaser release was more than expected.”

“Arjun Reddy” featured Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead. The film’s success led to remakes in several languages, including the Bollywood hit “Kabir Singh”, directed by Vanga himself. “Kabir Singh”, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.

“Arjun Reddy” released in 2017. The film tells the story of Arjun Reddy Deshmukh (Deverakonda), a wealthy high-functioning alcoholic surgeon with anger management problems. Arjun is on a self-destructive path after the marriage of his girlfriend Preethi Shetty (Pandey); the film focuses on his downfall and subsequent resurgence.

“Arjun Reddy” was partially inspired by Sandeep Vanga’s life as a physiotherapy student. He worked on the script for two years and it took four to five years for the film to materialise.
