Telangana CM, Guv greet people on Janmashtami

Hyderabad, Sep 4 (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Friday greeted people on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

The Governor extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Telangana. “Lord Sri Krishna’s timeless teachings inspire us to perform our duties with honesty, sincerity and devotion, without attachment to the fruits of our actions,” he said.

“May we follow the path of dharma, righteousness and selfless service shown by Lord Sri Krishna. May this sacred occasion bring peace, progress, prosperity, brotherhood, amity and harmony to Telangana,” he said.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended warm greetings to people on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. He stated that the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita serve as a guiding force for human life and that one can achieve success in the endeavour of every life by understanding the philosophy and practicing the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna.

The Chief Minister prayed that the grace and blessings of Sri Krishna would always be upon the people of the Telangana.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, Mahesh Kumar Goud, said that the truth, righteousness, justice, and moral values taught by Sri Krishna serve as ideals for the world and are worthy of being put into practice.

“Praying that His blessings be upon everyone. Best wishes for Sri Krishnashtami to all the people of the state,” he said in a post on ‘X’.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader, T. Harish Rao, noted that Janmashtami marks the birth celebration of Sri Krishna, the sacred world teacher and divine incarnation who protects all the worlds, the joy of Yashoda, and who establishes righteousness while ending unrighteousness and injustice.

Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) leader, K. Kavitha, also greeted people on Krishnashtami. She said that Jagadguru Sri Krishna showed humanity the path of life through the wisdom of the Gita.

“I pray that Sri Krishna’s divine blessings fill every individual’s life with joy, peace, and prosperity. For the guru dakshina, Sri Krishna Paraatma accepted the Panchajanya conch and sounded its roar to end adharma,” she said.

Kavitha stated that with that same inspiration, TRS will end the ‘demonic rule’ in Telangana and pledge to realise the people-centric ‘Panchajanya Sankalpam – socially just Telangana.
