‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Melissa Rauch quips she ‘completely partied out’ after drawing lines, stairs

Mumbai, June 5 (IANS) After the phenomenal success of the Jurassic World trilogy, the franchise is all set for another addition – “Jurassic World Rebirth”.

Scarlett Johansson has been roped in to essay the role of Zora Bennett, a covert operation expert in the Gareth Edwards’ directorial.

A sequel to “Jurassic World Dominion”, the drama is set in a world with only a few remaining dinosaurs living in remote equatorial zones. After learning that these creatures hold the key to revolutionizing human medicine, a high-stakes extraction is launched under the guidance of Johansson.

Johansson shared that she was immediately inspired by the script. “It felt like a Jurassic film to the core, a survival thriller that moves with gusto and has high personal stakes. I read the whole thing with a big smile on my face because it was so imaginative, fun, and funny,” she revealed.

In order to further develop her character, Johansson even forged an association with screenwriter David Koepp. The ‘Lucy’ actress said, “Zora is a gun for hire with a rich past and private pain, so it was important to me that you could believe she had lived that life.”

The stunner further added, “I thought we could convey all that by creating a character who was at a turning point in her life, where she’s ready to make a pivot. And there are personal stakes for her, too. That was something David and I talked about a lot. What is missing from Zora’s life? She’s made so many sacrifices for others; what is she ready to do for herself?”The legacy continues. Experience Jurassic World Rebirth on the big screen on 4th July 2025!”

Aside from Johansson, the ensemble cast of the drama includes Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.

Chennai, Feb 8 (IANS) The makers of director J B Britto’s Niram Marum Ulagil, featuring actors Bharathirajaa, Natty, Sandy and Rio Raj in the lead, have now revealed the look and name of the character that Rio Raj plays in the film.

Continuing with the process of revealing the characters and their looks in the film, the unit on Saturday disclosed the look and name of the character, actor Rio Raj plays in the film. Rio Raj plays Athiyan while actor R J Vigneshkanth plays Bala.

The team has so far revealed the looks and character names of Suresh Menon, who plays Lal Bhai, Aadukalam Naren, who plays Das, Rishikanth, who plays Kannan, Kaaya Arivumani, who plays Malar, Yogi Babu, who plays Na Muthukumar, Natty, who plays Abdul Malik, Viji Chandrasekhar, who plays Viji and Kaniha, who plays Fathima in the film.

In January, the unit had released a video to announce the completion of the film’s shooting. Sources close to the unit say that the film will have four stories, each portraying a different life and one common point connecting all the four stories. The commercial entertainer will look to stress on the significance of relationships in one’s life, says a source and adds that the film has been shot in four places – Mumbai, Velankanni, Chennai and Tiruthani.

Apart from veteran director Bharthirajaa, ace cinematographer and actor Natty, dance choreographer and actor Sandy and actor Rio Raj, the film will also feature a host of actors including Yogi Babu, Vigneshkanth, Rishikanth, Aegan, Kaniha, Vadivukarasi, Aadukalam Naren, Mime Gopi, Suresh Chakravarthy and Suresh Menon among others.

Produced by L Catherine Shoba and Lenin, the film has music by Dev Prakash Regan and cinematography by Mallika Arjun, Manikanda Raja.

Editing for the film is by Tamil Arasan while art direction has been taken care of by SJ Ram, Dinesh and Subeandar. The film has three lyricists and three costume designers. While A.S Dawood, Acksharah Balakrishnan, Arjun Rajkumar have penned the lyrics for the songs in the film, Sridevi Gopalakrishnan, Jeeva Karunya and Rebecca have designed the costumes. Interestingly, the film has been co-directed by Melbert, Boopathi Raja and Poo Sivaprakasham.

Mumbai, May 26 (IANS) The beloved “Gullak” family will be getting an exciting addition this season. Actor Gopal Dutt has been roped in to bring a comic twist as ‘Pinky Mama’ in “Gullak 5”.

After numerous references to “Pinky Mama” in the Mishra household over the years, the audience will finally get the opportunity to witness the much-discussed character on screen for the first time.

Pinky Mama’s entry in the Mishra house promises a fresh layer of humour, warmth, and chaos, adding to the excitement for the new season.

Gopal, who will be playing Pinky Mama, revealed that he is extremely excited to be a part of the popular drama.

He shared, “I have been watching and enjoying the show for years. It is very exciting to play a popular character that everyone has been waiting to meet. Playing Mama was incredibly exciting because he brings a different kind of energy into the Mishra household.”

Revealing what he loved the most about the character, Gopal added, “He’s unpredictable, emotional, funny, and at times completely unfiltered. What I loved most was that even amidst all the comedy, the character had a genuine heart. Working with this cast has been an absolute joy, and I can’t wait for audiences to welcome Mama into their homes.”

Backed by The Viral Fever, the new season of “Gullak” will see some familiar faces, such as Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Harsh Mayar, Sunita Rajwar, and Helly Shah.

Moreover, actor Anant Joshi will be stepping into the role of Annu this season, a character initially essayed by Vaibhav Raj Gupta.

Talking about being a part of the show, he had shared, “Gullak has always felt very close to my heart because the Mishras remind me so much of our own families, their warmth, little moments, conversations, and the simplicity with which they touch people’s lives.”

“Gullak 5” is slated to stream exclusively on Sony LIV from 5th June.
